Random streaks of thoughts running through my mind right now:
I remember my first year of Accounting class, when the teacher said: So we have assets, and we have liabilities in accounting. Name me some examples of assets.
We all chipped in, “ House, Car, Money, Investments,…”
One person said: “Relationships”.
At which the teacher replied “Are you SURE a relationship is an asset all the time?”
To which the whole class laughed. That was pretty much a *lightbulb* moment for me.

I can’t describe that feeling in words, but it just epitomized everything about relationships, and probably contributed to my current view (mixed with some cynicism) of them.
I can't say i'm a tad bit too cynical, cos i haven't encountered anything/ anyone that has proven my views wrong thus far.
